LOGOMO - the congress venue
Logomo is located within a walking distance from the city centre, street address Köydenpunojankatu 14, close to Turku main railway station and the bus station. A pedestrian bridge by the railway station allows you to reach Logomo in just 5 minutes. From the city centre Market Square, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to Logomo. Bus numbers 20 (direction Muhkuri) and 61 (direction Vienola) from the Market square go to Logomo. Tickets can be bought from the driver, single ticket à 2,50 eur. Turku - the congress city
Turku is located in the Southwest corner of Finland. Turku is the fifth largest city in Finland and the capital of the region, the Southwest Finland. Turku is well-known for its history, beautiful archipelago and active cultural life. In 2011, Turku was the European Capital of Culture. Travelling to Turku
Turku is easy to reach by air via Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Riga and Gdansk. The Turku airport is only 8 km from the city centre.
If you fly to Helsinki, there is a regular ExpressBus connection to Turku from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The journey takes about 2.5 hours.
If you are travelling via Stockholm, you might prefer to take a ferry through the beautiful archipelago. The daily ferryboat connections are operated by Viking Line and Silja Line. The duration of the voyage is about 12 hours.

The City of Turku offers the participants of the EWASS meeting a museum visit in Turku at a discount of 25%. At the congress venue you will receive a code that is valid in the following museums:

The monetary unit used in Finland is Euro (EUR).
Major credit cards are usually accepted. Banks are open from 9.30 to 16.00 on weekdays, closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
