Space Physics

Space physics is a specialisation that concentrates on the workings of the Sun and solar system, energetic particles in space and cosmic rays. It is suitable for students who are interested in a career either in academic research or space instrumentation and engineering.

The table below lists the suggested course selection for this specialisation. Note that changes in the lecturer list are possible; the final decisions of lecturers are always made during the summer prior to the academic year.

Doctoral degree programme study guide

Doctoral degree studies are very flexible and a study plan has to be made at the beginning of studies. Ph.D. student's supervisor assists in making the plan, as necessary, but a rough plan for all specialisations is available on the page describing doctoral degree programme.
