Karttunen: Datan käsittely, CSC 1994. (In Finnish; modelling and handling observational data.)

Press, Teutolsky, Vetterling, Flannery: Numerical Recipes in Fortran [ C], Cambridge University Press 1992. (Program examples for many different problems. Emphasis on clarity, not on efficiency and complete functionality in all situations.)

Björck, Dahlquist: Numeriska metoder, Gleerups 1969 (1. edition, now available also in English.) (One of the numerous reasonably good textbooks.)
