Tuorla-Tartu annual meeting 2010: observational cosmology
Tuorla Observatory, 2-3 September 2010

Within the Tuorla-Tartu annual meeting series Tuorla Observatory organizes a small-scale symposium for astronomers from different countries. Traditionally this symposium has brought together cosmologists and other people interested in the topic in question for the purpose of sharing ideas in an open and informal environment.

This year the special theme of the meeting is research with and opportunities provided by the European Southern Observatory (ESO). This is a timely topic, as the Finnish Centre for Astronomy with ESO (FINCA, http://finca.utu.fi) has started operations within the premises of Tuorla Observatory in the University of Turku. The symposium will be held at the Tuorla Observatory. It will run for two days, Thursday morning through Friday afternoon, 2-3.9 2010. The local organizing committee has arranged for blocks of rooms to be available for a fair price for conference participants at the Hostel Tuorla (http://www.tuorlanmajatalo.fi/etusivu/) near Tuorla Observatory (http://www.astro.utu.fi).
