Undesirable Conditions
When a player wishes to raise his character's stats (either Body or
Soul) and GM has no special reason to deny this, it can be done by
exchanging the raise to an undesirable condition. There are four
classes of disorders in the table for
undesirable conditions. These can be used just as GM feels most
suitable but one way to select a condition is first to throw a D100 of
which 1-25 selects the table on the left, 26-50 the next table to the
right etc. Then another D100 determines the actual condition. I like
phobias so I tend to emphasize the phobia table more than
others.
The exchange rate can be for instance one raise of level from Phobia
Effects Chart versus one stat re-rolled. Or one raise of level versus
a certain raise in the stat. I have used such a raise in the stat roll
that brings the norm up one point. E.g. the norm of stat roll 90 is
+10 and in exchange to a mild condition in... say... kleptomania, the
roll is changed to 91 of which the norm is +11. A mild condition is
really nothing but if the unfortunate player is allowed to another
exchange he may roll himself another raise to a condition that he
already possesses and a moderate condition is already something that
creates numerous hilarious events in a game.
