Zeus
Zeus; often called "father of the gods" although he is a brother to
many of them and himself a descendant of a long line of gods; known
also by cult titles Maemactes (Stormy) and Cataebates (Striker).
He protects guests under the title of Xenios, guards the house as
Herkeios or Ktesios, and is associated with lycanthropy (human
assumption of the wolf form) and cannibalism as Lycaeus.
He is the Greek god of weather and in times of drought his mountain
shrines were visited by ancient Greeks.
