Images of RGB BL Lacertae objects


The table shows the 100 BL Lac sources reported in Nilsson, Pursimo, Heidt, Takalo, Sillanpää and Brinkmann, (2003) Astronomy and Astrophysics, 400, 95 for the ROSAT-Green Bank (RGB) sample obtained at the Nordic Optical Telescope.

The 1st column shows the RGB name; click on the RGB name to get the NOT image for the galaxy and the image with the central source and the host galaxy (when detected) removed. The 2nd column is an alternative name. The 3rd column is the redshift, when known. The remaining columns indicate the presence of the source in other catalogs.

Plate scales and image sizes are indicated with the individual images, as well as contour lines in magniudes per square arcsec.
