Galaxies in the Perseus-Pisces region

Small dots indicate galaxies listed in the LEDA catalogue, at redshifts 3000 km/s < V < 7000 km/s (n=2016). The other symbols are KLUN galaxies (n=216). The blue circle denotes the 15 h^-1 Mpc sphere, located at (l,b) = (140.2°,-22.0°), r = 50 h^-1 Mpc, containing the four densest clusters in the region, shown with red circles: Perseus, A262, 0122+3305, and Pisces from up left to down right. From the virial masses of these four clusters we estimate the total mass of the 15 h^-1 Mpc sphere to be 7 - 9 · 10¹⁵ h^-1 M_Sun.
