Edradour, in Pitlochry, is the
smallest whisky distillery in Scotland.
A Scottish law sets the minimum size of the pot, or
wash still, and the pot at Edradour is a drop bigger than the minimum. Hence
Edradour is the smallest distillery in Scotland; and will be since it is
not likely that anybody would build a pot just the size of the minimum.
More equipment to create the Water of Life.
After the tour at Edradour distillery we
entered their little shop (on the left) and many of us came out
with a somewhat lighter wallet.
