The farewell party (or lunch) for the Abbott family. Tim Abbott had been the AiC (Astronomer-in-Charge) at the NOT for two years and staff astronomer before that. His wife, Jackie (from Texas) had been involved in many kinds of social activities among astronomers on the island and their son, Alex, surely will be remembered as the one with a limitless supply of energy. Now Tim was leaving to another job in Chile and the NOT staff and some members of the ING (Isaac Newton Group) gathered together for this farewell lunch in restaurant La Estancia.
