May Day, the first of May, or Vappu in Finnish, is one of the most important festivals of Finnish students. The May Day Eve, on 30 April, is the day of fierce celebrating. Here, a day after, the mood is a bit more sober but still people have energy to gather to the old observatory hill near the centre of Turku, listen to music, and enjoy a nice brunch with family and friends.
